Our First Night
This whole having a newborn thing is tough work. Last night was our first night at home with Avery, which also means it was our first night without the help of Vanderbilt’s nursery.
Sleep came in precious 1-1.5 hour chunks of time. Alix and I are both exhausted, but we made it. One day at a time.

Our friend and very talented children and family photographer, Lane Proffitt Heinsch, came to the hospital and hung in there for the entire labor to tell Avery’s birth story. We’re pretty blown away by this slideshow she put together for us.
